2007 NASDAQ Opening

On December 27, 2007 Progress Software opened the NASDAQ MarketSite for the seventh consecutive year. Progress Software celebrates its twenty-fifth anniversary this year with 26 consecutive quarters of year-over-year revenue growth and 23 years of operating profitability.

Bud Robertson senior vice president finance & chief financial officer and John Bates, general manager Apama products presided over the NASDAQ opening ceremony. John Bates presented the opening address prior to ringing the bell signaling the beginning of trading for the day. In his address, John described both Progress Software’s successes over the past 25 years, but also the capabilities and successes of Progress Apama. Some highlights from his address include:

• Progress products and technologies are used at over sixty thousand organizations in more than one hundred and forty countries.
• Progress has enjoyed 26 consecutive quarters of year-over-year revenue growth, and 23 years of operating profitability.
• Progress ended their 2007 fiscal year with both record revenue and record earnings.
• There have been more than 70 global capital markets customer deployments of Apama worldwide.
• Progress more than doubled its business in the capital markets sector in 2006 and 2007 alone.
